Bebo proxy: why and how to use?

Social networking website that allows friends to communize in different ways remains Bebo (home page - bebo.com). The online community allows users to send message, write blogs and post pictures. It is one of the many websites on the market like it, including Xanga, Myspace and Facebook. Founded in early 2005 by Xochi Birch and her husband, Michael Birch, the site made various changes and relaunched in July 2005. According to Alexa Internet, the site is the 85th most popular U.S. Based website and the 3rd most popular social networking website. Experts say the site is the 3rd fastest growing website on the web.

Now let's put the two words together and talk about what a bebo proxy is. A bebo proxy is a server (a system or a program on a computer) that services the requests of its users by forwarding requests to other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting a service, such as a file, web page, or some other resource, available from another server. The server provides the resource by connecting to the chosen server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may change the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it might serve the request without contacting the specified server.

There is also another way to address this matter. You can use proxy servers to unblock/block websites. Proxy Servers are servers hosted on the World Wide Web that allow you to get to websites through them indirectly. Proxy Servers ultimately maintain the role as a middle man. The first thing you need to do is find a proxy server. To do this you simply search the internet for proxy servers. Below is a list of varied proxy servers. Try typing these in and see what it comes up with:

- A List of Proxy Servers
- A Directory of free web-based proxy services
- A Directory of free proxy servers

Then follow these easy steps as follows:
Go to the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, then click Internet Options, select the Connections tab, and finally click LAN Settings.
1. In the Address box, type the address of the server.
2. In the Port box, type the port number that is used by the server for client connections.
3. Click to select the Bypass server for addresses. Check the box if you don't want the server computer to be used when you connect to a computer on the network.
4. Click ok to exit out of the LAN Settings box.
5. Click ok again to exit out of Internet Options.
